How big should a painting be above a sofa?
As a starting point, choose art roughly one-half to two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it, then test the composition at full scale. Keep the visual centre near 145–150 cm from the floor unless the room, sightline or furniture requires an adjustment.
How far away should I stand to view a painting?
A practical first viewing distance is about one to one-and-a-half times the artwork’s diagonal, with extra distance for very large works. The correct choice also depends on detail, room circulation and whether the work is intended as a close or architectural viewing experience.
Are dimensions shown framed and unframed?
Every proposal should state image or canvas size and framed size in centimetres and inches, plus depth and total hanging weight. The current artwork cards omit unverified dimensions, so request the exact specification and hanging requirements for the work you are considering.
What lighting is suitable for acrylic paintings?
Use even, low-UV lighting with good colour rendering and avoid direct sun or concentrated heat. If glazing or acrylic face-mounting is proposed, ask for a reflectivity sample and confirm the viewing angles, because bright windows and spotlights can produce distracting reflections.

Copyright & What You Own
Do I own the copyright when I buy a painting?
No. The buyer owns the physical artwork, while the artist retains copyright and reproduction rights unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Ownership allows normal possession and display but does not transfer the right to reproduce the image commercially.
What may I do with the artwork I own?
You may display the physical work privately or publicly, lend it to an exhibition, resell it, and photograph it for insurance records and ordinary personal use. Commercial reproduction, merchandising, advertising, NFT creation or digital minting requires written permission from the copyright holder.

How will my artwork be packed and shipped?
The exact protective layers, corner protection, crate construction, courier, insurer and insured value must be confirmed for each work. How long does international art delivery take?
Transit time depends on destination, framing, crating, export papers, customs and installation access. Who pays customs duty and import VAT?
